you probably aren't old enough to remember but back-in-the-day the american idea of freedom/liberty for the common man was considered very liberal. there was a time when schools taught this in civics classes nationwide.
the modern day blm/antifa/lbbtq social justice warrior abhors traditional freedoms/liberty.
so we need to replace the word 'liberal' and move on. they simply are not liberal. and they certainly are not progressive since everything they advocate for is easily described as "more personal limits"
