out of all my gay friends, i am (probably) the only republican voter of the bunch. every other gay person i know is always on about blm, wearing those stupid masks, or having panic attacks about the future of “climate change”. they get to slap their biden bumper stickers on all of their cars, but if i ever told them i voted for trump last year they might actually try to push me out of the group as they refuse to associate with anyone who isn’t a staunch democrat. i’m not even dumb about it either, i understand that capitalism is an atrocity and universal health care would benefit us all, but neither party does anything about that so i just choose the better one. and i don’t just blindly follow all of trump’s policies. i just understand which party is more focused on protecting personal liberties. i just have to bite my lip whenever they get upset over january 6 or guns. why does it have to be this way? how can i meet more gay republicans in my area? (maybe a bf?)
