Why let geopolitics pit muslim against muslim? The al Saud do so for power, just as all figureheads of state do.
Not bait. I'm not a muslim, so am out of my depth regarding Shi'a and Sunni differences. Sufi and Druze and any other possible muslim sects are unfamiliar in their particulars to me, but those that truly keep faith with God, who shows mercy, should recognize the stench that comes when religion, any religion, is used as a political tool, to demonize.

Is there no God to reign in the madness for power that drives sectarian violent enmity? Can not two people that disagree on how their faith in Allah is practiced still agree that Allah is merciful and respect the command to create peace in the umma?
