shadowstats.com) so their average income number is inflated by that much. Food and fuel stopped being added to the inflation numbers in the 1980s. We have the highest medical costs on the planet... among other highest in the world costs. The poverty rates are based on 1969 conditions when women were not in the workforce and childcare was not a common (large) expense.... shit, in 1969 not having a telephone would not be considered a factor of poverty. And as far as poverty rates are concerned those are cooked, too.... along with the homeless rates. The US is a second world shit hole at best.
