What about dialogues during fights? Maybe emotional ones? Like lets say... 2 bros are going at it and shouting each others flaws that led them to this conflict.

That's the perfect kind of fight for me. Fighting, and shouting out a little dialogue, but not too much. And definately not stopping the entire fight to go into some preachy, 2deep4u monologue about their reasoning.
