>>13243961Most of mainstream American discourse is built on the idea that not only are we all equal before the law but we're all the same blank slate, and most Americans, left and right, truly believe that the natural state of man is a middle class suburban white person. If anyone is NOT acting like a middle class suburban white person it's because there is some circumstance preventing them from doing so, be it poverty, racism, a dictator, whatever. This permeates all of our foreign and domestic policy, we start wars with the idea that once we kill off the evil dictator or bring money to the desert the sand people will immediately use their newfound liberties to build white picket fences and strip malls and start greeting each other in the morning when they get their newspaper.
As it applies to blacks the leftists and boomercons always strive to remove the thing they believe is preventing blacks from acting like them, it is inconceivable to them that blacks have their own agency and are acting in whatever manner they like. Black Americans today probably have the greatest amount of political and economic self determination of any group in the United States save the other one but that's not what we're here to talk about. You can look at what they do with it, they elect criminals, they loot and burn businesses, they convert the schools into prisons where nobody learns anything. I don't really think there's anything wrong with that, honestly people should have a right to govern themselves how they'd like and blacks have made their choice to have lead tapwater and leaders who drive expensive cars. I really just wish everyone would stop expending resources trying to "fix" it.
