I'm Russian and we make $7 grand on average. (inb4 russian shill, stop being a poor commie, go drink vodka ivan, bla bla bla yeah i heard those memes thank you, you're very witty and funny but i am just curious that's all). now i know that earning $50 grand is considred about average in US, give or take. my question is: how the fuck people waste all that money and complain about $15 not being minimum wage? food costs same or more (!) here in Russia. same with electronics, cars and all. now I know that other stuff is different. you may have a mortgage, student debt, insurance, bla bla bla that costs way more in US, and taxes surely differ too. but even that doesnt explain living on $7k vs $50k, that's 7x difference. where do people waste all that money? i have a BIG suspicion that half of it is eating out, including fast food and deliveries, and all kinds of unnecessary spending.
