But here's something that I spent a lot of time figuring out and I hope that maybe you could find some use of it as well. In spite of what most people think, feeling happy is a skill that one builds up over time, and practice is key. On the other hand it's much easier to practice feeling bad, and then that can unfortunately become our standard state of being very quickly.
Instead I implore you to always look for things to feel grateful for during your day. It does not have to be grand or life changing or anything like that - if your life feels grim right now, there's no use in pretending otherwise. But instead just notice the stuff that feels slightly nicer than whatever else is going on. A small smile from someone you see, random fortunate events and conveniences, beauty in the everyday things you see. Things like that.
Anyways, I don't know if it's really that useful to anyone else but either way I hope you'll find some reasons to feel a little bit happier whatever and wherever they may be.
