>>13303244eh, not really. their population is over 4 times our size and our GDPs are still neck and neck. their population is projected to decline, while ours is projected to grow. their GDP per capita and HDI are both terrible compared to western countries. plus more and more things are becoming automated and AI will become a thing, so I doubt china will do anything other than become the biggest trading partner in the eastern hemisphere.
