Again, this entire thread was started by someone asking a question. They got their answer. They didn't ask if it was ok to be degenerate, they just asked if it was degenerate.
Recreational alcohol consumption is degenerate, physically and figuratively. By putting a price tag on that degeneracy you are knowingly spreading deception; that something that serves no real purpose has value. To sacrifice others to sustain a fantasy; to eat someone else's cake.
