>Let the scholars who spend their lives studying the the chain of hadiths decide their authenticity.what they do is over mystified. It is not rocket science. The more important venture is studying the history of the period when hadith emerged, understanding when the isnad became hegemonic, understanding the limitations of hadith, as a form of knowledge transmission. This is more vital than understanding any discrete hadith.
>Yet every word of the Holy Prophet is a fountain of knowledge and there is an ocean of knowledge in Prophetic hadiths. Scholars delve much deeper than you or me would with the help of Allah.you miss my point, I am questioning the authenticity of prophetic hadith. It was not until several generations after the prophet (pbuh) that people began asking for the hadith. In the earliest collections, you find sayings of the prophet (without isnad), and follower/companion hadith (mostly follower). If tens of thousands of prophetical hadiths had been circulating, they would have been written down by these earliest collectors.
