>>13312376Time is the most predictable thing in the universe, Bulgogi. Fridays have existed for long before we have existed, and will long after we are dead. But not even days, weeks, months or years are forever. They are defined in terms of the patterns of our solar system. An ephemeral solar system. Soon, the Sun will engulf the Earth, destroying it and whatever remains of civilization. Without the rotation of the Earth, the concept of a day is meaningless. A day is not the same thing as 86,400 seconds. Seconds do not fluctuate, but our planet's motion does. Sometimes days are longer, sometimes shorter. The explosion of a volcano, or the collapse of a dam can rearrange the mass on the Earth enough to measurably affect its rotational speed. Even you or me walking up a flight of stairs would make the Earth spin slightly more slowly. After enough time, long after anyone was around to have any conception of them, the very notion of Friday will become meaningless. Friday belongs uniquely to us.
