It's an inverted hermeneutic movie, an upside down tale.

V is Satan. If you read the graphic novel you would know this from V's opening line which is omitted from the film - "Allow me to introduce myself I'm a man of wealth and taste". V encounters Evey (Eve) who he then proceeds to tempt into rebellion against a theocratic state led by Adam Sutler.
Pursuing V is Creedy (Jesus, the man with the creed) who finally confronts V with his 12 apostles - pic related.
V, like Satan, is imprisoned and burned. V tells a priest "he is the devil, come to do the devil's work". V, the letter itself, is actually used to denote Satan.
Despite being quite obviously Satanic and written by the occultist Alan Moore, it's fucking amazing how something so on the nose goes over most people's heads.

The point is that books like From Hell and V for Vendetta are full of accurate exhaustively researched historical information and step-by-step detailed explanations of how (((they))) operate. And the books do all this in an entertaining manner with an artistic mastery that enhances the information instead of compromising it.

If your enemy's playbook fell into your lap, wouldn't you read it? If the ADL posted their most top-secret documents here, wouldn't you archive them instead of screaming "OP is a jew SAGE".

It's a nice thought experiment the movie concludes that the first need of humans is freedom not security as the antagonist claims. But when you look in the real world it's a clash of those 2 things security first or freedom first.

They made me very sleepy, I did situps and pushups fighting it, it worked but it was reversed so I tried to sleep. I didn't take any willingly. They had to hold me down, could have killed security but they said thanks like they knew i'd sorted something out later. Important you don't aid an attack on you. I kind of gor out some people who had accepted they were there forever. Looking for the worst one. I couldn't convince a girl to say no to them shocking her.

Some real heroes there. One gave me a salute. Defiant, free even when doing so makes them fuck you up more. Good camraderie that, hadn't felt like an australian in a while. Seeing a guy bank on windows and in general not give a fuck for their bullshit. Because of a guy like that and me some girls weren't preyed on, eg us instead. Good man.
