Anime cons are a great way to meet people. They’ll have a dance or a ball or something like that. Get pretty, sit alone and dance with the guy that offers you his hand.
Most likely that guy will be like me and the only advice I can give is enjoy the moment. It may be over quickly.
Otherwise ask a guy at random to the dance.
