Yea, I'm not like watching those like daily. I just watch what I come across, feel the empathy trigger, try not lose my cool or make it ruin my day, because getting upset doesn't fix the issue. Nor does shaming the people performing those actions, I don't think people who torture animals for fun can get better, so directing outrage towards them is useless, it's like calling a racist "racist" - to which he'd reply: Yes.
The key to really fixing these types of issues is to just remove them. Being part of the natural selection: if people torturing animals just started dropping, it's not valid course of action and will lead to that persons demise. There's no point telling them why, how, when and what's coming, e.g. "You did X, Imma hunt u down... be scared >:[" Same goes for torture or "letting them taste their own medicine." It's pointless, it's not like the person can learn from it if you are there to drop him permanently. So just do it quick and move on.
>I can handle all forms of human gore.Same, I deem animals to be more innocent for some reason.
>"Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become a monster. And if you gaze long enough into an abyss, the abyss will gaze back into you."But you can be a monster to monsters, a predator of predators. So why not?
Anyway, logically speaking, from an individual's perspective empathy is a weakness.
