>>13429288And now onto the "Nazarene" issue.
"Mary" and "Joseph" were from Nazareth on the sea of Galilee. Take a look at a map. This area is in the far north of modern day Israel. In Jesus' time, it was still considered part of "Judea", but its residents were highly influenced by the Romans.
Nazareth was a hub for Roman trading activity in the area. Their culture, and religion, were widely accepted. There were "Jews" in the area in the sense that they studied the Torah, but a good portion of the population (cannot find any statistics on this) were not practicing jews. Even those that called themselves jews were not considered jewish by the Pharisees, but pagans due to their blending of Roman myths with jewish religious practices.
Then there is the population problem. Trading hub. Roman prelate. Many romans settled and lived in the area. They were white (and as we know here on pol, not the muttified nigger Italians like we see in modern day southern italy and sicily).
There is no guarantee that either Mary or Joseph were levantine or jewish, and this is obviously supported by Jesus physical description in the Letter of Lentulus.
