I've noticed something: people who are based prefer Megadeth and people who are cringe prefer Metallica.
So if you want to see if your friend might be a crypto-fash or at least be open to talk about some no-no topics show him some Megadeth and Metallica songs and see who prefers.
Note: It doesn't matter if they hate both or love both it depends on which one they prefer.
