for years I used light themes because I was sitting in a dark room and the screen was the only source of light, now even with lights turned I still like them, probably because I'm used to them

Light themes are blinding and uncomfortable in darker areas due to the difference between the extremes.
I greatly prefer dark, but wish making my own changes were easier. I can make colored themes for browsers as an example, but doing that requires digging around in code or hidden settings... when it should just be an option.

it literally hurts my eyes to look at light themes, i use dark mode everywhere. if some program or application doesnt have a dark theme i just look for something else at this point
