However, as a comedy of ideas, Anna (and the rest of the characters) represent a point of view more than a person. Her backstory is not necessary to understand. I suppose the only part that might be confusing is who exactly she is supposed to be, because I'm not sure to what extent this sort of person exists in Poland. There have been many names for it. Nowadays they call them SJWs, but before social justice they were at church and people called them pearl clutchers. Australians called them 'wowzers'. There was another name for them during prohibition, but for the life of me I can't recall what it was. That's all you really need to know, and even that isn't really important.
