What was the internet like back in the 1990s? I'm assuming it wasn't really all that much and it was slow as shit, but what was the culture like back in those days?

She's fine over all, some problems with her feet and back, but she's got a nice man who takes care of her. She's in Mississippi, and my mom moved out here to Oregon when I was young, so I don't get to see her but once every few years.
