The problem is they aren't otaku, and have overtaken the otaku. Because otaku have lost the vote, it goes to the normalfaggots, but the normalfaggots (the surfacelevels) don't understand this.
They just consume and continue to sway anime towards more and more garbage that suits their tastes, and doesn't have any of the "ew gross that's weird" stuff that doesn't compute with their NPC brains.
The other group, that isn't large, but looks large is trannies. Trannies go out of their way to attack everything that isn't all about them, which forces everything into their shitty line up.
The same thing that makes modern anime garbage can be applied to 4chan.
