No matter what religion you process, at least you gotta accept that your ego will perish along with your material body. If such thing as a soul or a spiritual plane existed, there's no way your ego could be part of or be connected to that. That's because your ego is, first of all constantly changing, and also completely comformed by the experiences of your material body in the material plane.
