I'm not going to pretend the ones in the Island are all angels, but for the most part, they're pretty tolerable and normal, no ghetto culture or flag wearing 24/7 or any of that stereotype applied to us that is mostly better applied to the Nuyoricans (just stay away from the poor ones, they're not as trashy as Nuyoricans, but they're still bad).
Most Puerto Ricans that went to the US were from the lowest class, so as you can imagine, most weren't really well mannered. Even my aunt who was practically raised in the US has said so.
I don't like the people here honestly, but that has more to do with me being anti-social and for other reasons, but we are NOT like the Nuyoricans, and it annoys me how they have built up an image that doesn't represent the Islanders (the worst part is that some of them even have the nerve to tell us that we're not acting "like Puerto Ricans").
