However I’d say the change coincides with the original userbase getting older and adopting a different view of political and social issues. In addition to that though, it’s true that 4chan has been flooded with anons who don’t actually have long-term ties to 4chan and its culture. They came around 2016 from r/thedonald (unrelenting and often illogical MAGAbros), GodLikeProductions (schizoboomers), stormfront (the more degenerate wiggeresque class of the pro-white space) and of course some younger guys who came from no other site in particular. I really don’t care for the posts anons of this type write, they’re rarely funny or interesting. They aren’t the same guys I used to joke around with here when I was 12 years old.
