During the /bant/ episode this spring wherein a sperg janitor began banning random subjects based off of paranoia over proxyfags, an opportunistic individual with a grudge used their proxies to begin spamming Touhou threads in an attempt to piggyback off of this moderator's autism and get Touhou permanently eradicated from /bant/. This individual successfully created the illusion that they are an utterly based otaku gamer by parroting the local otaku culture and orbitting individuals like nube/ssp. They then used this position to seed unrest and confusion by lashing out against what is clearly the core of bant otaku culture, the tf2 server, and against the individual he specifically held a grudge for, mono. While in the process of trying to get Mono's proxies banned and teasing him about it, he accidentally bumped into Anzu's proxies, which made me suspicious of falseflagging and lead me on this chase attempting to name the culprit. This post,
>>13691986, revealed the motive to me, but lead me to believe that Anzu was the culprit. This was incorrect, but Anzu's viewpoint of the situation lead him to accidentally, and correctly, name the motive. I, by correctly proclaiming the motive but misnaming the culprit, infuriated the actual culprit, Sig, who has now revealed himself and taken credit for it.
Sig has likely resorted to attacking Mono's proxies and the tf2 server because his plan to goad the moderator into permanently banning Touhou has gone on for months yet yielded no fruit. Having given up on his plans, he felt fury that all of his efforts would be correctly described yet attributed to Anzu rather than himself, leading him to finally reveal himself after months of spamming yet seeing no progress.
Well aint that just hecking crazy? If you want to read more about this individual check out !/sig//vPy6 in the archives, he's on s4s too. Shoutout to Anzu for being instrumental in causing the culprit to reveal himself, even if Anzu does not care.
