Okay you know how there are some white Americans with no clear ancestry to relate to? Well I'm one of them..I'm English, Lithuanian, Italian, German and Irish and whenever I play skyrim or whatever I used to play Imperial because they're based off of Italians and I look Italian the most but recently I learned the Bretons have no clear ancestry group also so I started to play as them but they're really small and I'm 6'2 so it doesn't relate to me and it makes me have OCD attacks.

This is so freaking stupid it makes me want to scream.

That's not OCD. If you were thinking that by choosing a Breton versus an Imperial that the world would end or a close family may die, that would be an OCD. Being obsessive over something is generally just anxiety. OCD is more crippling because you have uncontrollable, illogical thoughts that make you feel you must complete an action or face negative consequences for it.

I understand you bro. My compulsions are pretty fucking stupid too. If you're really troubled by it go see a therapist.

I don't think there's a special medication to help with OCD but just to relieve the anxiety that causes it, so therapy is the only thing that's effective in the long run.

Neat. My OCD is that I think I'll die if I don't do x action. The fun part about the disorder is that even though I'm aware of how dumb the thought is, I have no control over it. Best thing to do is just isolate yourself whenever possible so people don't see your weird habits.

Yeah, but I just started doing it where I warn people when I go somewhere new that I'm weird and to just ignore my dumb shit. It works better I find. I just finished hairstyling school and I did just that in the first week I was there. Everyone was very sympathetic and while they made fun of me, they wouldn't ever actually antagonize me over it. I'd suggest just letting anyone close to you know you're weird, it disarms people, especially when you're blunt about it.
