>>13728225My guess is the /lgbt/ raid happened when very few mods (probably inexperienced mods, or at least low-ranking mods) were online, so they panicked and locked /qa/ for "maintenance" in response. The other mods came online later and got a rundown, and now they need to decide collectively what to do. Maybe they haven't had a sizeable enough group online yet to make a decision.
The fact that the board still hasn't been unlocked means the decision to lock it in the first place was done hastily without a plan - if they were going to just enforce a meta-only rule, they could have wiped the soijak threads (which they did), put up a quick sticky, and then unlocked it within a few hours. Or maybe because they're new/low-ranking mods, they can't just change the rules of a board on a whim without some sort of mod team meeting. But I think it's more likely the decision was done without much thought. Obviously locking the board with the most soijak spam wasn't going to get rid of soiposters for good, they just moved to another board within minutes and took that one over.
