The naive, who will make themselves vulnerable, and thus make themselves most exposed to that deep hurt
Those unfamiliar with and shallow in their perception of the anti-social, and thus mistake the representation of friendliness for the thing itself.
The latter brings to mind a hermaphrodite who mistook 'left wing' airs of acceptance and anti-bigotry for the thing itself, and ended up in the opposite camp. And while that was ironic, I don't think it was ironic because of the expectation. That's just my opinion, though.
