Wojakposting perfectly embodies the reddit mentality.
Unlike other memes and jokes that start on this site, which naturally are created, peak, and then die over time, wojak is kept on life support for over a decade, used as an avatar, a reaction image, or a template. Whenever interest in wojak dies down, the cult of wojak, situated in /qa/, discord, and party, shits out a brand new edit and spams it across all boards until it catches on. Rinse and repeat for another 3-5 years.
This was what started happening with ragefaces ages ago, reddit got a hold of it it, and instead of creating their own new memes and OC, everything was a rageface edit.
The difference between then and now is that 4chan abandoned rage faces the moment it was tainted, but didn't abandon wojak because all of those redditers came here.
