It only increases the likelihood of recessive genes being expressed in the child. That in itself has a very low percentage of actually resulting in an abnormality so in other words, it's a-okay in terms of biology.

It means nothing really. Genetically people are pretty robust and the effects of successive inbreeding resulting in consistent genetic defects would be like in the 5th generation of inbreeding (a guess).

Humans are not snowflakes and have hardy genetics.

The chances of expressing ANY recessive genes are 1/4.

The chances of those genes being genetically defective are even less, given that not everyone carries recessive genes that result in congenital disabilities.

You have to keep in mind that a single recessive gene can be enough to have a negative impact on a person. Sure it's not the case for every couple and takes time to get fixated but unless there was a good reason I wouldn't recommend it.
