Lowest taxes in Europe, still inside the EU. Low cost of living, rent is ok. I work remotely so low wages don't affect me. I love Eastern Europe people.

I'm learning Romanian. I can describe a salad like nobody's business. I hope to be at conversation level by then.

Are gypsies a real everyday problem?
Will people be able to speak English when I inevitably can't work something out?
Is corruption a thing at low level, should I expect to have to tip my doctor? The police so they'll get off my back?
Will people react badly to me being a foreigner?
Is borsch actually good?
I got some opinions from expats saying people can be angsty, get into shit over nothing, keep-your-head-down kind of thing, is still the reality?
