I almost never do coffee without milk or cream, yet a cup of coffee with a 1 single teaspoon of instant coffee mass per my cup (which is about 0,4L), yet I always feel thirst after coffee which leads me to drink a same ammount of tea at least once. Usually I do 3-4 cups of liguid per coffee break, no matter it is the coffee break itself of lets say a dinner.
You might point at me that I consume little bit more liquids that an average man, and that would be true.
I'm a big drink enjoyer.
