I'm feeling guilty because lately I've been stealing a lot from the workplace, the studio I go to to make music, and usually random things I don't particularly need but I still feel the urge to take it.
Recently I've come to the conclusion that principles should dictate my way of life, and to lead is to be a follower of principles. I cannot take what has not been given, or else what I give will not be taken.
Life is a zero sum game, just like nature, but this does not mean it is fair or just, because these seem to be manmade principles.
I'm having a hard time grasping principles on a societal level, I know that natural principles are acted upon and not through, yet modern societal principles feel like they should be broken. When I steal from the workplace it feels right although it is unfair for the rest of my team and the owners of the restaurant, and when I steal from the studio it is because I know that the value of a capo is nothing to them, but it is unfair for the rest of the musicians that go there.
Should you take things when you get the chance to, or should you earn it in this modern age of meagre salaries and high consumption ?
