No dance battles ever took place. That shit is fake and gay. Rap battles were barely a thing. We had fist battles.
It's hell of rare for somebody to be that coordinated.
Despite the excellent coordination the breakdancers couldn't fight. They tended to be small and easy to throw around.
So there were no breakdancing crews. They'd get stomped in a brawl.
I think everybody settled on poplocking and it evolved into c walking, which is really just rhythmic stomping.
