Few things are as entertaining as reminding Americans of how lax age of consent laws outside of the US actually are. Just the other day I had a bunch of Americans absolutely jump at me for merely matter-of-factly telling them how the AOC is 14 in the country I live in (can be as low as 13 in fact) as though they had just discovered a secret pedo rape dungeon.
Americans are completely flabbergasted and in quite literal horror when they learn how it's not just perfectly legal for 12-14 year olds to have sex but not even socially frowned upon, if not considered healthy in large parts of the world.
