Because we can't stop the flow anymore. 4chan has become mainstream, not necessarily in use, but in knowledge. I miss it too, the old days(admittedly I started in about 2010, after the true awesome years). We can either keep the public in permanent newfag mode, or we can teach them and deal with the autists by teaching them HOW to sage, catalog, and what the proper boards to post in are.
