>>13981381Okay I had parental support, but i managed well with around 700€ per month overall. It depends heavily on the city, because the housing will be your main cost driver. Even in expensive cities you might find housing between 200€ - 300€ per month (shared Appartment = WG), you will need 50€ per month for your student fees and 100€ for groceries (they are cheap here and good quality imho, compared to the rest of Europe). That will put you at around 450€, which is what so called minijobs pay, this is like the lowest class of job and actually untaxed.
As a student the employers will mostly try to employ you as a working student, because they are taxed very competetively - and depending on the job and skill you might make 9-15 € an hour with an allowance of 20 h a week. This means you might be able to have an income of around 700€+.
I could live of that, but yes sometimes, if you need something bigger, I needed some help from my parents.
