I live in a touristy town so I've met a lot of tourists. I've met some real cool Germans outdooring in places far away from the usual tourist traps and had some good chats, they're pretty friendly. I've also met friendly people from Japan and southeast Asia multiple times.
On the flipside, I've seen countless rude and annoying Chinese tourists, and the biggest douchey tourist I can remember was French. Dude was throwing a hissy fit at a local restaurant, holding up the line, and then decided to block the doorway until they refunded his ~$8 burger and fries. The cops were called but I left before I saw what happened.
