My point of view on pedos is that, throught most of human history, some degree of it has been normal. Child marriages, if not the norm, were not unnusual either. It's also still commonplace in much of the current world, in asia, africa and the middle east. More advanced countries with care for human rights and living conditions are the places where it's strongly denied.
Now, that might very well be a good thing. As we found out about how child sex can be extremely scarring, any country that cares about the wellbeing of its citizens would take steps to prevent it. My point is that it wasn't out of the ordinary for most of the world until a very short time ago.

I believe it's just that for the sake of better living conditions we made pedophilia be culturally abhorrent, and so most people on the newer generations are raised to think pedos are evil monsters. This makes people who are pedos, who I believe to be a large section of the population, completely deny it, because the teachings have been sucessfully internalized. We did have that study about pedophilic stimuli on a group of regular guys, and the results for it did seem to indicate sexual desire for kids to be very commonplace, too.

To me that's perfectly natural. Until just a few centuries ago it was commonplace and all. It's not like those sexual desires will go away, we're dumb animals and when someone is capable of having kids, sexual desire is probably common.

I don't think it's a bad thing to stop pedos from having sex with children, but I don't think pedos are demons either. I've always seen it as a common desire, that we stop because it has terrible consequences, and that 99% of pedos in current society undestand and obey. But to me those pedos are just regular guys, I don't think they deserve to suffer for their wishes unless they plan on acting on those wishes.
