Godot is released under a permissive free software license (Apache License) which allows you to do almost anything with the source code. Unity is not released under a free software license and they do not release the source code of their product. You are probably confusing Godot with Unreal. Godot was not made by epic games, and it has almost no rules governing your use of it. Unreal does have royalties and is made by Epic.To my knowledge the only affiliation Godot has with epic is that they gave them a 250,000 dollar award in 2020.
