The Confederacy was the very opposite of individuality and freedom, with it having the most authoritarian government at the time during its 5 years of existence. It was literally Oceania in every way, and thus, it had the WORST Civil Rights record of any country in the 1800's! In other words, whenever you fly the Confederate flag, you fly not only a flag of hate, but also one that represents the single most authoritarian regime ever created during the 1800s!
