Worked out well though - I ended up familiar enough with heaps of things and keep getting advanced by employers. Fell into accounting and now I'm working towards commercial analysis roles. Admittedly things wouldn't have gone so well if I wasn't a hard worker and pretty smart, but both of those are rarer than people with degrees now anyway.
