Hey /bant/
Today I have a Christmas legend for you, and you might find it quite funny.
But perhaps you are familiar with Japan's little Christmas tradition of eating fried chicken on the holiday, more specifically, KFC.
Well, my family has a legend, a myth, about my great grandfather, who in the late 40s, was a war tribunal judge in the pacific after ww2.
He was tasked with fairly and justly presiding over the trial of many members of the Japanese military after the war. He loved the Japanese people and expressed that they were the most honorable men he had ever met, in stark contrast with things he said about the Chinese who he said lacked any honor, and would sell their own mother for a penny, the Japanese to him, were truly something special.
And they loved him too, he was a fair and respectul judge, an honorable man.
But it doesn't end there, you see, my great grandfather had a little influence on the Japanese, he left something behind that not many people would think, he gave them, a love for fried chicken.
