well basically the source of a lot of their problems was a dragon sitting at the top of a mountain, but visibility is really low so they didn't know about him. was supposed to be 2 or so sessions of running around putting out fires and working their way up the mountain until they figured it out. instead they got halfway through the first thing and went "oh yeah there's probably an issue at the top lets just fly up"
i wasn't really sure how to handle that, especially since now that they're right at the dragon they can just sort of talk their way out of most of the situation. i realize now that i can sort of magician's choice them into having to backtrack down the mountain no matter what happens and reducing the amount of post-dragon stuff there is since it doesn't really make sense for them to stick around very long after dealing with him
>>14089189basically the whole conceit of the campaign was them being amnesiacs recalling their backstories over time. they ended up skipping a significant portion and will be remembering everything much faster than i anticipated, so i'll instead lean on the one guy who is about to remember that he has and NPC companion by making finding that companion a more involved ordeal than originally planned
>>14089191well just the structure and words no?
