well just the ingredients you see labeled are allowed

however most people dont know you can add shit ton of plastic or artifical ingredients if they no longer exist in the finished product

Reading about Reinheitsgebot was actually pretty interesting. Nowadays, with how diverse beers can get, it's more of a style guide than an absolute law. Even in Germany, alternatives that violate the law are still allowed to be sold as long as they don't falsely claim to be beers in accordance with the law.

From what I heard, it was the Christians attempting to prevent pagans from passing off what they believed were "witch's brews" using traditional ingredients and claiming it was simply beer.
