When you first start abstaining, whenever you get strong urges to go back to your fapping routine, ignore. Like an itch on your body when you are meditating, if you ignore it for long enough, it will dissipate. It is all a trick of the mind. Eventually, the cravings will come during longer intervals, nd finally will subside.
If you are not strong enough to ignore, you may try distracting yourself with other things, though this is a temporary solution, as you will begin to get addicted to other things.
Only through willpower and resolve can you break free of any behaviour loop you might accidentally stumbled into.
