Yesterday I got attacked by a hacker in ds2, who used acid pyromancy to break my items. I had 5k soul memory and just reached the fortress in the forest of fallen giants.
But i am smort! So i just threw myself off a cliff, unlike my friend, who now had to repair everything

if you're in an area where you can fall to your death, hackers can be baited to cliffs and kicked off. Even if they have infinite HP, the fall damage kills them unconditionally
since most hackers are trash, this method can be used very effectively against them
