Australia has the most boring state and territory names imaginable. We have the audacity to call our most populous state "New, South Wales" without even having a "New North Wales". We have a state called "Queensland" and a state called Victoria which shows a modicum of ingenuity until you realize they're both named after that fat prude Queen Victoria.

The only cool sounding place is "Tasmania" which is nice until you find out it use to have the slightly more bad ass name

And who can forget the inspired genius of:
