VW. Horrible faggot leadership. Actual fags in leadership positions and a faggot controlled faggot advancement cabal within mid/upper management. The others are pervs or typical Germ backstabbers. VW still cannot get it through their dense skulls that Americans do not want an underpowered engine that is also complex and expensive to maintain. VW dealership network and marketing is a perpetual mess. The German made Gulf is the best small car made in materials, workmanship, and safety, but unnecessarily expensive to maintain. Diesel was so outstanding, shame.
Toyota is a company that is good in theory but cost is the primary driver. As an example, the steel in the door and the coating on it fails before the door beam adhesive. In an accident, you lose protection when the beam pulls the metal treatment off door skin. This reduces the ability of the door to absorb crash energy.
A VW is designed for this to not happen. Wolfsburg made cars for US car and Germany share this safety feature although the German car is designed for Autobahn speeds with better brakes.
Overall, I prefer Buick (Korean made) or Ford (MX) in the small car range. These cars are designed for American driving environments, and have adequate service and parts footprints.
Generally I do not put my family in small cars. Body on frame, preferred, unless the car is very high end like a E class sedan. You only get one life and your health is valuable. Drive an older car and fix it yourself in that's what it takes to stay in heavy metal vehicles.
Electric cars are a meme. They are designed to control your mobility. Mobility as a service means subscription ride share. You will not be able to own a car, and your movement will be traced or denied. Control is the goal. Battery technology to make electric cars practical does not exist.
