As for a more serious answer, I'm actually genuinely confused as to what zoomers get out of this show, because it's basically impossible to appreciate it fully unless you had some personal contact, however distant, with the lowkey late '80s/'90s First World psychedelic revolution, which virtually everything in the show is inspired by, and which it often overtly references. The explanation probably is more or less just this
